About me
I am a freelance Director/ Editor/ Producer. My primary objective is to continually grow, and learn. In all walks of life, I try to pick up as much as I can from wherever I can. Genuinely intrigued by the diversity and specialization of jobs throughout the filmmaking process, I actively absorb wisdoms from every experience and shared perspectives. First hand experience being the best teacher, I am more than willing to roll up my sleeves for a good project. Interested in all facets of production and post-production, I find it most beneficial to understand the process as a sum of all parts. With this kind of perspective, I believe I can bring an interconnectedness and consciousness to the cutting room that helps to accentuate everyone's efforts whether the contribution is overtly captivating or subtly nuanced. Showcasing the entire crew's work at their best, and therefore the film in its finest form.In addition, I have goal oriented personality with a proclivity for accomplishing tasks. Once I get my head wrapped around an idea, system, or workflow; I am quite insatiable. I am naturally curious, and dual-minded. Both creative and technical, with the ability to keep focus on the smallest of details without losing sight of the bigger picture.
I have been fortunate enough to serve as the film editor on two independent feature films. Filmmaking is a massive team effort, with a beautiful array of trades and professions converging to achieve a common goal. As an editor, I am privileged to get a front row seat to the alchemy of it all. Having a hand in the assembly, re-envisioning, or enhancing of the visual storytelling is a special responsibility. I find this final phase of the writing process to be most rewarding. That is, when you get to see everything come together as a whole work of art. Therefore, I truly hope to have a long, fruitful career in editing film or video of any nature. Perhaps, one day, writing and/or directing a feature film of my own.
