MA SCREENWRITING | | | About me | I am an award winning writer director of popular drama established in the UK represented by Michelle Kass Agency.
A little about myself; I have written and directed for television, the BBC, BBC Worldwide, Channel Four, IWC Media in mainstream popular television formats. I have developed a production slate for Lithuania, lectured in Germany written a 'Coming Up' for Channel four, UK and practice regularly as a writer director in the UK and overseas. I have won short film awards & recognitions as well as a British Soap Award for my work on Hollyoaks. Recently I was co-creator, Series Script Editor, Writer and director for a BBC adventure fantasy television series based in Bangladesh/UK called 'Bishaash'; South Asia's first supernatural detective show. We have reached 24million viewers in the domestic market and the series is airing internationally with predicted audience figures of 50 million. Thus I have an experience and appreciation for international audiences in a global context and a thirst to produce work that is competitive all over the world.
Currently, I have developed a feature film called 'The Line'. It has garnished several industry nods in the UK, US, Dubai, Asia. Talent attached to 'The Line' is double Oscar nominated Cinematographer Tony Pierce Roberts (Howard's End, De-lovely, Underworld) and Bollywood icon Preity Zinta, as the female lead (Preity Zinta has grossed over a several billion rupees overseas, and appeared in India's highest grossing films of all time). I genuinely believe that out of all the writer or directors that you will work with in the coming years, you well not find anyone more originally composed!
