Without knowing my way around set geographics. I was lucky enough to have a good 1st to guide me through and be patient with me, and I usually had a tolerant DOP who turned a blind eye. Starting out wasn't too hard on me.
Now when I Focus-Pull I remember those times and even working with super experienced crew members I always remember to take the edge off stress that may be burdening the crew because of a tight schedule or difficult location etc. So I never "freak out" and try to be my at most politest even when I have 45 things to do within the next 2min which I have to do in 1min.
I do load still from time to time either when the budget is above my range as a 1st AC or when there's a really good DOP involved. | | | Any other information | | Documentary camera operating is something I am striding for since joining the Film and TV industry a few years back, I think I am good at it and will only get better. I like being challenged and the thinking on your feet-one chance-give it your best-and-better whilst shooting is the kind of challenge that makes me execute better shots.
