Script Supervisor
Primary Job Category
A Script Supervisor is also often known as a Continuity Supervisor and their role is to ensure that while scenes are filmed out of sequence, the continuity is there when the scenes are edited together.
They do this by keeping very detailed notes on props, costumes, action, actors' exits and entrances. They are also responsible for making notes on timings and sending progress reports to the production manager at the end of every day.
There is no obvious progression into Script Supervisor roles and many start as Production Assistants.
