About me

My introduction to image capture was as a photographer, i have been published in sports journals but my main focus has always been in motion pictures and becoming a DP. I will probably always call myself an "Aspiring DP" as the greats i hold as role models have that bar so high that one can only hope to reach it. I have a passion for lighting and composition and take the effect this has on the viewer extremely seriously, i love practical lights in my frames, if i can fool you into thinking that simple lamp is lighting those characters on screen then my job is done technically but how you feel about them is where i leave my mark.

My recent history is in Broadcast video capture but i have spent the past two years studying and refining my approach as a DP and acquiring practical on set experience.

Additional Information

I have set out to find DP roles but love lighting so much that Gaffer suits me very well, of course operating is closer to where i want to be but i find these main roles closest to my heart.

I own and can operate the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 2.5k MFT and the Panasonic AF100, i have a host of Prime lenses rated at F1.0 and two F2 zooms, i also have my own set of 650 Fresnel's lights, stands and filters as well as a Hague K14 Jib.

I have been shooting and editing video in the sports, commercial and corporate sectors for around 4 years. I have operated and rigged broadcast systems for simple single and multi screen relays via a direct connection and via screen switchers to a fully live streamed event with me operating for the entire day as the main Camera. I have created video productions for RedBull, BMW, Kawasaki, BUPA, SpireGTR Sports cars, Tanita Europe and for independent and team managed athletes.

I created XSVpro as a way to promote myself and paid clients within sports based promotions. I have helped generate close to half a million online views and have brought audiences from around the world to brands via social media.

XSVpro can be found here www.youtube.com/xsvpro and my Broadcast/Sports show reel is here, http://youtu.be/XygyvQHC7xc?hd=1

Anthony was great to work with, he really took on the mentor role with his assistants in the camera department and was always happy to explain how something worked or the process behind choosing a shot or lighting setup and he gave me a chance to learn a great deal about lighting and composition during pre-production. The results of the short film speak for them self. I look forward to working with Anthony again.

Tony worked extensively during pre-production and achieve a result where the AF100 looks close to the Alexa.
